Caoimhe McGlinchey has been successfully working as a practitioner in general practice since 1998. After completing her Science degree from NUI Maynooth Ireland Caoimhe began studying with the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland in 1995. Having obtained her Licentiate in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine she undertook postgraduate study in Nanjing, China, where she spent several months working in different hospitals all affiliated to Nanjing University of TCM. She has also received her Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tui Na and returns to China regularly to continue her studies. She is a board member of the ACHI (Association of Chinese Herbalists in Ireland) and National Council of Medical Herbalists in Ireland and is former chairperson of the AFPA (Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association) Ireland and recent member of the EC of the ETCMA. She has a particular interest in increasing recognition for the practice of Acupuncture and Herbalism. She teaches in the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association.
