Women and men are both vulnerable to breast disease, much of which can be prevented with Yangsheng techniques and modalities that target the breast while also promoting health in the entire body. An Eastern and Western understanding of etiology of breast disease will be explored. Disease prevention and breast health maintenance tips utilizing lifestyle, dietary therapy, herbs, and acupuncture will be presented.
 
Aesthetic breast acupuncture is very effective in keeping the breasts healthy for the prevention of breast disease. Besides firming, lifting, and shaping of the breast, aesthetic breast acupuncture can provide profound health benefits such as transforming existing fibrocystic breasts- a frequent pre-cursor to breast cancer. There will be a demonstration of a cosmetic acupuncture protocol that you can implement in your practice to both satisfy the cosmetic concerns of patients and to help them to avoid potential health concerns regarding the breast.

The Treatment of Non Malignant Breast Disease
 
Non-malignant breast disease is generally easy to treat with acupuncture and herbs. Treatment strategies from Chinese medicine will be discussed for issues such as: insufficient lactation, mastitis, fibrocystic breasts, breast dysplasia, breast pain, gynecomastia, and more. Some existing research will be provided. Ethical and safety issues will also be addressed.
