Four Diagnoses and Acupuncture Clinic(四诊与针灸临床)
Four diagnoses are very important in the TCM clinic. In ‘Classic of Difficult Issues’ (Nàn Jīng, 难经), they are described as excellent diagnostic methods. They can be applied respectively or combined. In acupuncture clinic, we need the four kinds of methods not only for the diagnosis before treatment, but also for the effect appraisal after acupuncture treatment. In this part, we will talk about how to apply the four kinds of diagnoses to help directing the acupuncture clinic and appraise its effect, appended with clinical examples.

Acupuncture treatment of emotional illness(针灸治疗情志病)
Emotion disorders are very common in nowadays. Anger, joy, grief, thought, fear are the normal emotive reaction of humanbings. In serious condition, they will bring about different diseases. In TCM, it is thought that emotion can affect the function of five zang organs, and the five zang organs respectively dominate the above five emotions. It is proved that acupuncture can regulate the five zang organs and so as to treat the above emotion disorders. In this section, we will talk about how to think about the five emotions and how to resolve them with acupuncture.
