Practical acupuncture tools for treatment and recovery
This course will also serves as an introduction to oncology care, even for practitioners with little or no prior experience in the field and will be deep and inspiring for all.
Unfolding cancer through a Chinese medical perspective offers practitioners a deeper, more compassionate understanding of both the disease and its treatment. This course explores cancer, cancer therapies, and the role of Jing and Shen in oncology acupuncture from a practical and clinically meaningful standpoint.
Jing and Shen are central to the creation, development, and continual transformation of life and their influence can be seen even at a cellular level. Insight into cancer and its progression emerges from observing the meeting of Jing and Shen that initiates life, and the ongoing changes in Jing throughout growth, aging, and decline.
While cancer is defined in Western biomedical terms, practitioners of Chinese Medicine can better support their oncology patients when they are able to interpret both the disease and its treatment through a Chinese medical lens.
This lecture will focus on diagnosis and the clinical application of acupuncture to support Jing and Shen, offering new perspectives on:
the role of Shen in healing,
the significance of Jing, marrow, the extraordinary meridians,
