52nd TCM Kongress Rothenburg 2021: Online again, very successful event with more than 700 participants from around the world

Berlin, 28 May 2021 - The TCM Kongress Rothenburg, which traditionally takes place in Rothenburg ob der Tauber over Ascension Day, was conducted online this year for the second time. According to the event manager, the congress was again a great success that brought together more than 700 participants from 33 countries. Covering five full days, the extensive program offered top-class continuing education, training courses, workshops and events on many different topics in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The now established Research Theme Day attracted a lot of interest. The congress also offered opportunities for personal exchanges, an exhibition, a festive opening and the very popular "Fantastic Finale", featuring musical performances by many persons connected with the congress.

"We are delighted that the congress worked so well over long distances and that many TCM therapists from around the world took advantage of the continuing education offered," said Dr. Martina Bögel-Witt, President of the AGTCM, which put on the congress. This year's event, even more varied than last year's online premiere, satisfied participants' expressed desire for more opportunity for personal interaction.

Congress Chairwoman and Program Director Julia Stier reported: "In cooperation with our service provider Net of Knowledge, which made the technical platform available, we were able to stream in five days a total of 325 hours of lectures, workshops and courses, which sometimes ran parallel to several full-day events. That worked nearly trouble-free and gave all participants simple and undisrupted access to the congress.“

Under the lead subject "Expressions of the Metal Element – Skin and respiratory tract diseases with their mental and physical manifestations", the congress examined diagnostics and treatment with TCM methods. Practical experience and the latest findings were presented from the areas of acupuncture, Chinese medication and herb therapy, TCM nutrition lectures, Qigong movement system and Chinese Tuina massage.

Recordings from the congress are available online – Non-participants can purchase access

Most of the lectures were recorded and will be made available by Net of Knowledge on the congress platform at no charge to congress participants until the beginning of September. "Anyone who could not take part during the congress will have the chance to watch recordings from many of the events on the platform," said Stier. "That is a great extra option that was first made possible by the virtual version of the congress!" Access to the platform managed by Net of Knowledge takes place via: https://netofknowledge.com/Account/SignIn. As soon as the recordings are available for purchase, they can be found in the AGTM media library.

Save the Date: 24 to 28 May 2022

The 53rd TCM Kongress Rothenburg will be a hybrid congress with many courses taking place live in Rothenburg and streamed simultaneously from 24 to 28 May 2022.
