Richard Blackwell (GB)

Richard Blackwell is Principal of the Northern College of Acupuncture, York, UK. He has a Medical Sciences degree from Nottingham University Medical School, graduated from the British College of Acupuncture in 1982, and gained further clinical experience in Nanjing. He established busy clinical practices, and has taught acupuncture at both undergraduate and post-graduate level for many years. He is a past president of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. He has published widely on Chinese medicine theory, clinical practice, research and education, and he is known for his stimulating and participative teaching style. He has particular interests in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and the role and development of the practitioner.
