Protect Yourself from Burnout and Serve The Burnt Out Population
The past two years have put the majority of the world under an immense strain. During this same period, the World Health Organization finally recognized burnout as an occupational hazard. Many of our colleagues and patients have been struggling with burnout without many resources to turn to. They are fatigued, their emotions are explosive, they have become detached from friends and family, and they no longer feel that the work they do is impactful. On top of that, they are bombarded with ‘think positive’ messages from well meaning communities that do not understand what is really going on.
The typical stress management techniques are not sufficient for burnout recovery and in this workshop, you will learn exactly why the typical techniques don’t work and what techniques and acupoint combinations will most help your burnt out patients based on the latest research in neuroscience, acupuncture, and biobehavioral health.
In addition, we will spend time focusing on the cultivation of the practitioner and answer questions such as: how do you prevent/avoid burnout as an entrepreneur? If you’re burnt out, how can you recover? Why did you burn out in the first place? What can change in your internal and external environments at home and work to protect you in the future?
You will receive information and techniques based on a combination of TCM, life coaching, and biomedical research that will help protect you from burnout or help you recover if you’ve already reached that fate.
Other learning items include: heart breathing, brain and heart coherence, burnout red flags, the internal and external causes of burnout, the neuroscience behind burnout and the associated brain changes, the power of resentment, values based living as a protection measure against burnout, and more.
