
Beverley de Valois PhD LicAc FBAcC MBLS is a practising acupuncturist in the UK and a distinguished researcher of acupuncture for the supportive care of people living with and beyond cancer. For over 25 years she was a Researcher in Integrative Medicine in the Supportive Oncology Research Team (SORT) in the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust incorporating Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. She has conducted several pioneering studies into using acupuncture to manage the consequences of cancer treatments.
Beverley is an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol; a Fellow of the British Acupuncture Council; a Council Member of the British Society for Integrative Oncology (BSIO); and Past Chair of the British Lymphology Society (BLS) Scientific Committee.
She has many publications in scientific journals and is the lead author on the multi-award winning publication “Acupuncture in Cancer Care: Recommendations for Safe Practice (peer-reviewed expert opinion)”. Beverley lectures internationally and is the author of “Acupuncture and Cancer Survivorship: Recovery, Renewal and Transformation” published by Singing Dragon.
