David Bomzon is a distinguished Chinese medicine therapist, lecturer, and leading authority on rehabilitative acupuncture in Israel, specializing in neurological rehabilitation acupuncture (neuroacupuncture). With a career dedicated to integrating acupuncture with modern medical practices, David has established himself as a pioneer in the field.
A 2006 graduate of the East-West College for Classical Chinese Medicine in Tel Aviv, David trained under the esteemed Dr. Toshikatsu Yamamoto, the founder of Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture (YNSA). Drawing on this foundation, David co-founded the Pnima Center in 2007 alongside Avi Amir. The center, Israel’s largest community clinic for Integrative Chinese Medicine, blends classical Chinese medicine, YNSA, and Western medical approaches to deliver comprehensive care.
Recognizing the need for continuous professional development, David and Avi also established a unique support center within the Pnima Center, offering mentorship, advanced training, and professional guidance for new and experienced practitioners in complementary medicine.
David serves as the lead acupuncturist in the Rehabilitation Department of Bnai-Zion Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, where he actively participates in clinical research exploring the benefits of YNSA in neurological rehabilitation. His groundbreaking work and expertise have made him a sought-after speaker at professional conferences and gatherings worldwide.
In 2015, David and Avi launched the Pnima International School of Scalp Acupuncture, which offers hands-on workshops and online YNSA courses to practitioners globally. Their dedication to education culminated in the publication of their book, Clinical Handbook of Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture, in 2020.
David’s mission throughout his career has been to advance the integration of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and scalp acupuncture, enhancing their application in modern rehabilitation. As a therapist, educator, and mentor, he continues to influence the field, empowering practitioners to achieve fast and effective results in treating pain and neurological conditions.
