Dr. Karl Zippelius is specialised in sports medicine and is Head of the TCM ambulatory at the Austrian Institute for Sports Medicine. He is part of the medical team of „Sportmedic“ where he collaborates with Dr. Brandner to integrate surgery and TCM for a better treatment of cruciate ligament injuries of professional athletes. He also operates a private practice in Florence.
Dr. Zippelius specialised in Chinese orthopedics and traumatology at the Orthopedic Military Hospital of Sichuan Province, the Sichuan Tianxiang TCM Orthopedic Hospital and the Chengdu Sports University. Dr. Zippelius has published several papers in Elsevier, Springer and Müller Steinicke publishing house. Dr. Zippelius is a classical music enthusiast and had his violin education at the music high school “Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini” in Florence, Italy.
