Studied in Vienna, then trained as an internist at Städtisches Klinikum München GmbH, specialising in diabetology, angiology, cardiology, emergency care and intensive care. Graduated as a specialist in internal medicine (internist). Trained in Chinese medicine/TCM and acupuncture in Munich with study visits to China during his studies. Graduated as a Certified Physician of Chinese Medicine (CPC) and Master of Science in TCM from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Lecturer at TUM and SMS. Member of the Board of SMS Munich since 2020, President and Head of the medical school since 2023.
