Thomas Wernicke, specialist in general medicine and naturopathy, medical director of 'therapeuticum rhein-main'. Specialises in the treatment of infants and children using Western and Sino-Japanese methods.
Trained in Osaka by one of Japan's leading paediatric acupuncturists, he has further developed the needleless Japanese paediatric acupuncture Shōnishin and set new standards. As an internationally recognised and sought-after expert for Shōnishin, he is active as a training manager in many countries in Europe, Asia (including Japan), Australia and the USA.
In addition to numerous scientific publications, he has written several specialised books on the subject. He is a founding member and president of the International Society for Traditional Japanese Medicine (IGTJM e.V.) and co-initiator of international congresses for Japanese medicine.
As an internationally recognised and sought-after expert on Shōnishin, he is active as a training leader in many countries in Europe, Asia (including Japan), Australia and the USA. In addition to numerous scientific publications, he has written several specialised books on the subject.
He is a member of the Japanese Scientific Society for Paediatric Acupuncture (Nihon Shoni Hari Gakkei) and a founding member and president of the International Society for Traditional Japanese Medicine (IGTJM e.V.).
