Zhao Jin (CN)

Jin Zhao, Professor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Doctor of TCM, specializes in integrating historical medical wisdom from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties into modern clinical practice. He is a direct disciple of Prof. Chen Chaozu and Prof. Song Xing, both renowned TCM scholars, inheriting their academic legacy and clinical expertise. His research focuses on three areas: (1) academic thoughts and clinical applications of TCM physicians from the Song-Yuan-Ming-Qing periods, (2) TCM-based tumor therapy, and (3) syndrome differentiation in gastrointestinal mucosal diseases. Recognized as a Sixth Batch Reserve Candidate for Academic and Technical Leadership by the Sichuan Provincial Administration of TCM and a National Successor to Senior TCM Experts’ Legacy (sixth cohort), Jin Zhao has taught foundational courses including Schools of TCM and History of Chinese Medicine at School of Basic Medical Sciences, Chengdu University of TCM since July 2011. His dynamic teaching style, balancing rigor with accessibility, has earned widespread acclaim from students at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.
Jin Zhao has led 8 research projects (including 2 provincial/ministerial-level initiatives), authored/co-authored 5 national TCM textbooks, contributed to 23 monographs, and published 55 peer-reviewed papers. Clinically, he adheres to TCM principles of syndrome differentiation while integrating historical medical insights to treat complex disorders across internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and other specialties. Notably, he manages over 20,000 outpatients annually, achieving remarkable outcomes in challenging cases through innovative herbal formulations and holistic diagnosis. His practice emphasizes precision in TCM prescriptions and a patient-centered approach, solidifying his reputation as a trusted practitioner in both academic and clinical spheres.

承担中医各家学说，中国医学史本科硕士博士阶段教学任务，教学严谨活泼，深受学生喜爱。主持课题8项；参编国家级规划教材5本，参加编写专著23部；发表学术论文55篇，临床上坚持中医辨证原则，结合历代医家临床经验，灵活运用方药治疗内外妇儿各科疾病，尤其是疑难杂症，疗效显著，日诊过百，深得病人信任。
